New Passenger Terminal Building

Bahrain Airport Company signs agreement with Nasser Pharmacy to operate airport outlet

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), signed an agreement with Nasser Pharmacy to operate an outlet at the airport’s new Passenger Terminal Building. The branch, located in the landside Arrivals area, will be fully stocked with healthcare, beauty, and pharmaceutical products, and will serve BIA passengers, staff, and the local community. The five-year agreement was signed by BAC Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah and Nasser Pharmacy Director, Adel Khalaf in the presence of Harish Khurana and BAC commercial team.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Al Binfalah said: “With the health and wellbeing of passengers and staff being one of our key priorities at BIA, the landside Arrivals branch of Nasser Pharmacy will be stocked with medicine and other high-quality healthcare products, allowing passengers to fill their prescriptions or pick up any last-minute items they may have forgotten to pack. It will also save arriving passengers the hassle of having to look for a pharmacy in a new country. Since it will be open 24-hours, it is also perfectly positioned to serve airport staff, meters and greeters in cases of need.”

Mr. Khalaf said: “Nasser Pharmacy has a long history of serving the Bahraini community, and we are pleased to add the new BIA branch to our strong network of pharmacies in strategic locations across the country. The airport pharmacy will offer a wide selection of travel accessories and travel-sized products, vitamins and supplements, beauty and skincare products, and other pharmaceutical products.”

The new terminal aims to provide a hassle-free approach to modern air travel. With its focus on comfort and personalized connections, it has a unique boutique airport feel that welcomes passengers with Bahraini hospitality values. The new facility will be more than four times larger than the current airport, offering expanded passenger and cargo capacities, and world-class facilities and commercial outlets.
